Norelle Simpson’s soulful voice rings out from the world’s biggest stages, but Cleveland will always be home. The East side native started singing as a kid, in Cleveland Orchestra Youth Chorus and 93.1 WZAK’s youth choir. She was the star of Mayfield High School’s musicals, and performed at the BSIDE regularly during her days at John Carroll University. Now she sings backup vocals across the globe for Rihanna, Alicia Keys and others, while launching her own solo career. Norelle has had a whirlwind year, and joined us while home in Cleveland for the Guardians’ Opening Day.
