Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic SEO Director to lead our SEO department. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the overall search strategy, managing the SEO strategist team, and collaborating with key stakeholders to align search initiatives with broader business goals.

SEO Director reports to the General Manager and CEO and plays a pivotal role in steering the SEO department towards success. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to adapt to evolving industry trends, manage a team of SEO strategists, and lead the charge on training the team in a new SEO trends and strategic thinking.

The candidate must be flexible and able to multitask across a variety of job duties, including the ability to:

  1. Develop and execute a comprehensive search strategy for clients that aligns with current and ongoing industry trends
  2. Lead, mentor, and manage the SEO team, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration
  3. Stay informed about industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging technologies to guide the team in implementing cutting-edge SEO techniques
  4. Extract insight from varied data sources, identify relevant trends and provide well-developed recommendations to enhance and exceed overall client search marketing goals and objectives
  5. Establish KPIs for SEO strategists and regularly report on the success of SEO initiatives to executive leadership
  6. Drive continuous systems improvement by identifying opportunities for new processes and learnings
  7. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership on the evolving landscape of search marketing


  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  2. Extensive experience in leading and managing SEO teams in an agency setting
  3. Proven track record for developing and implementing successful search strategies that drive business results
  4. Strong leadership and team management skills
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization
  6. In-depth knowledge of SEO, analytics, and digital marketing trends
  7. Deep understanding of design for conversion principles, specifically maximizing conversion rates and the importance of visual elements
  8. Strategic thinking and ability to problem-solve
