Manufacturing SEO & CRO National
Background Information
Kozak Micro Adjusters is a precision screw manufacturer based in New Jersey that specializes in micro-precision adjustment screws and mechanical hardware for some of the most demanding OEM applications in the world, including optical instruments, lasers, microscopes, and more. They handle everything from R&D prototypes to full-scale production runs in materials like stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and phosphor bronze.
Initial Situation
With buyers that are engineers, R&D teams, and procurement specialists, they required an SEO strategy to help those looking for very specific parts in very specific materials for very specific applications. The search terms are technical, the volumes per term are low, and the wrong agency tends to chase broad fastener keywords that don’t bring qualified buyers.
To grow organically, Kozak needed a marketing partner that understood three things at once:
- How highly technical buyers actually search (by material, by application, by exact specification)
- How to optimize a B2B site for both organic discovery and conversion on Shopify
- How to build educational content that captures the research-phase engineer who eventually becomes a buyer
What We Did to Help
We built an integrated manufacturing SEO strategy for Kozak that combined product-level optimization, technical SEO, conversion rate work, and a deep educational content strategy. Our team focused on the following:
Granular Product and Category Optimization
We took a heavily product-specific approach, optimizing high-intent product and category pages for the niche search terms Kozak’s actual buyers use. Rather than optimizing for generic adjustment screw-type terms, we focused on the specific descriptors that engineers search for, including material, application, and configuration.
Content for Specialty Hardware and Materials
We developed and optimized content for Kozak’s specialty offerings, including Custom Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Titanium Set Screws, as well as High-Vacuum Fine Adjustment Screws. Each material and application has its own focused content, so that an engineer searching for a titanium set screw or a high-vacuum adjustment screw lands on a page that directly matches the search.
Technical SEO and Ecommerce Enhancements
Behind the visible content, we addressed the technical foundations of ecommerce SEO that compound over time, from site structure to product feed health.
Design for Conversion Updates
We layered in conversion-focused UX changes across the site. That included adding a contact form to the right-hand side of inner product and category pages so engineers could request quotes without hunting for the contact page and adding a “Customize” button to product pages to make it easy to start a custom screw inquiry from any product listing.
Trust Signals
B2B buyers, especially engineers placing orders against tight tolerances, look for visible credibility. We integrated the Judge.me reviews app to surface real customer feedback and added a prominent “Manufactured in the USA” badge to reinforce one of Kozak’s most important differentiators in the precision hardware space.
Heatmapping and Friction Reduction
We used heatmapping to identify where users were getting stuck in navigation and checkout, then used those insights to fix friction points and improve flow through the site.
Educational Content for Research-Phase Buyers
Engineers spend a lot of time researching before they buy. We built out technical resources designed to capture that research traffic and bring buyers into the Kozak ecosystem early, including pieces like “How to Measure Screw Thread Size,” “Internal vs. External Thread Class,” and a US Fastener Sizes Conversion Chart. We also produced content targeting specific pain points buyers run into in the field, such as preventing screw galling and maintenance tips for bushings.
Authority Building and Google Merchant Center
On the off-site side, we maintained ongoing link-building through platforms like Featured.com and Qwoted alongside industry-specific directory submissions. We also managed the Google Merchant Center feed to make sure Kozak’s products were showing up consistently in Google Shopping results.

“I’ve worked with the team at Sixth City Marketing for about a year now, and they have been very helpful in improving my website’s visibility. The team is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They are also easily accessible by phone or email, and respond quickly; the customer service is what separates them from the pack.”
