If you’ve been out of the loop of all things Google, you may have missed the announcement of these recent updates to their products:
30 New Ecommerce Metrics in GA4
As many of you know, GA4 became the standard analytics in July. And while it has been a curve for many, as it is missing many key components of Universal Analytics, Google has started to make some improvements.
These newly added dimensions help you get more detailed product data, such as key info that helps you identify individual items. Item affiliation, brand, name, ID, and category are just a few things you will soon be able to see.
Automated FAQs Available in GBP
If you have chat enabled on your Google Business Profile, you soon may be able to allow Google to create FAQs for you based on the messages you receive by using the data you have entered in your profile and from your website.
Hours, appointment information, payment types, and more are some of the things Google may be able to answer on its own.
Category Collections Added to Merchant Center
To further help with user experience in Google Shopping, you can now group up to 100 products into collections in Google Merchant Center. The goal of this new feature is to “create rich ad and free product listing experiences in a simpler way” per Google.
