Sixth City Marketing is continuing its focus on giving back with a one-time $1,500 scholarship to one lucky student, whether they be an incoming or current college student, a non-traditional student, or a graduate student.
“We as an agency have made 2019 the year of giving back to our community,” said John Sammon, founder and CEO of Sixth City Marketing. “We might be a small agency, but we feel that this could help us make a big impact on someone’s life.”
The Sixth City Marketing College Scholarship is open to students from any major, and applicants ranging from incoming freshmen to graduate students are welcome to apply.
While there is no application fee, students wishing to apply need to fill out the application and submit an explanation in 500 words or more about how the internet or some aspect of digital media has impacted them or influenced their chosen career path.
“As digital marketers, we know the impact the internet has had on our careers, but we want to see how other people’s interactions with technology have impacted theirs,” Sammon said.
The deadline for this scholarship is June 15, 2019 and the winning recipient will be announced by August 5, 2019.

This isn’t the first time this year Sammon and his team have given back to their community. Back in January, Sixth City Marketing teamed up with local restaurant Bearden’s to provide free food for government employees who were affected by the shutdown.
